Eruv Map

The Long Beach Community is surrounded by a Mehadrin Eruv which allows our families, young and old to carry or push strollers on Shabbos. Whether to Shul, to the popular parks to play in the afternoon or just for a walk on the beautiful streets the Eruv is maintained at a high standard and encloses the entire area.

The Long Beach Eruv was built under the direction of Rabbi Chaim Wakslak a”h of the Young Israel of Long Beach. It is supervised and maintained by Rabbi Dovid Miller, who trained under the Halachic supervision of Rabbi Isaac Kresh and maintains the Far Rockaway Eruv as well.

The Eruv extends over all of East and Central Long Beach, from Maple Ave. on the east to the West End, ending on New York Ave.

Note: The Long Beach Eruv runs contiguous to the Lido Eruv and includes the Boardwalk. The ramps to the beach and beach itself are outside the eruv.

Eruv Notifications

The  Eruv is always confirmed as up and kosher unless a notification is given otherwise. Should there ever be a problem with the eruv that cannot be rectified before Shabbos, the community will be notified via email, WhatsApp and a robo-calls through the respective shuls.
